Every year in fall, I curate and present Indian films at The Latchis Theatre in Brattleboro, Vermont. I select four films to be showcased twice every week for one month. Before the screening, I present a cultural introduction to the film along with interesting anecdotes about its making. I also encourage audiences to dress up in their Indian finery for the opening screening. This year’s series includes the following films. Entry to the event is by a suggested donation of $10 but no one will be turned away, all films will be shown with English subtitles. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Bonus Screening
Due to popular demand (and a previous technical malfunction), I’m hosting a special screening of Sholay on November 12th, 2023 at 4pm which will be held in the main theater of the Latchis. The historic theater has a new sound system and this 1975 classic will be worth watching in there! Please come.
